Yandi – two times lucky!

Yandi is a Red Necked Wallaby and was originally rescued as a 600g pinky about 3 years ago. Yandi was successfully rehabilitated and released. However, she recently ran into some trouble and returned to her release site with a broken arm and severely damaged wrist, which would have resulted in her death if she had remained in the wild. The injury was so bad that it required the amputation of her left arm just below the shoulder. She is in recover with her precious joey in her pouch, the joey has been names Audrey after the vet who carried out the life saving surgery.
